Athletic Trainer

The certified athletic trainer (ATC) at Pitman High School provides a comprehensive athletic health care program for all student-athletes. Primary responsibilities may include injury prevention, the reduction of further injury, the proper administration of immediate care, and, in conjunction with the school physician, the development of the "return to play" policy.

Under the direction of a physician, the certified athletic trainer develops an emergency action plan for the school's athletic department in the event of a life-threatening injury and maintains expertise in emergency procedures. It is the responsibility of the ATC to obtain pertinent medical histories, to keep records for injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, and to provide the daily evaluation of injuries as well as the preventative, rehabilitation, and reconditioning treatments.

Athletic Trainer

Cole Edwards

I was born and raised in Modesto. I graduated from Enochs High School. I was a football player and wrestler growing up. I was awarded All-League honors during my Junior and Senior years for football. I started my Athletic Training journey at MJC. After MJC, I transferred to Fresno State in 2013. At Fresno State, I worked with the Football, Baseball, and Basketball teams.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Fresno State in 2015 and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. After graduating in 2015, I began working at the high school level. After 3 years at the high school level, I joined All-Pro Sports Medicine, providing concierge medical services to top athletes in professional sports. On weekends, you can find me working at youth sporting events, giving back to the community, and providing exceptional service.  I am absolutely thrilled to be the Athletic Trainer at Pitman High School and look forward to many achievements the athletes strive for.
